Safe from explosion
The EcoCompact units designed for filtration of explosive atmospheres are also available as Ex variants conforming to the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

The explosion-protection version of EcoCompact is available both for dusty as well as hybrid potentially explosive atmospheres.
The actual installation of explosion protection units primarily depends on the conditions and spatial possibilities for their use. Taking this into account, our clients can choose among the following variants:

• Explosion vent with or without an explosion discharge channel: with the increase of the pressure, the system safely discharges the pressure through an explosion vent. Explosion isolation is performed using the explosion isolation valves.
  



• Flameless venting: special mechanical protection prevents the explosion flames from entering the room. Explosion isolation is performed using the explosion isolation valves.
  



• Explosion suppression: precise sensors detects the creation of an explosion at the very early stage and triggers the mechanism for explosion suppression. Explosion isolation is ensured by a chemical barrier.
